Sensepil Hair Removal

I’ve been curious for awhile now about the Silk’n Sensepil Hair Removal system and I’ve started to read a lot of reviews about it and I’ve been impressed so far. I’ve been curious about permanent hair removal for a long time but I’ve never wanted to spend several thousand dollars to get it done.
Something that I was very surprised by while I was reading about how the Silk’n Sensepil works was that the technology it uses has been around for 15 years. Because it’s been around for so long the FDA has had plenty of time to test it and approve it for safe home use. They used several dermatologists and plastic surgeons to test the Silk’n Sensepil for safety and effectiveness.
I guess the Silk’n Sensepil hair removal isn’t “permanent” because you might experience some hair re-growth in about 5 years. That’s fine with me; the way I see it that’s like getting a wax that lasts 5 years but with no pain. I have also seen that for some people “permanent” laser hair removal isn’t so permanent and that they experience hair re-growth after 5-6 years or if their body chemistry changed (like from pregnancy).
The way that the Silk’n Sensepil works is that it uses Home Pulsed Light, or HPL, which is a pulse of light that the hair follicle absorbs and it stunts the hair growth for several years. The HPL is pain free and safe to use. Silk’n Sensepil even has a built in sensor that measures the color/tone of your skin and it won’t emit the HPL if the skin tone is too dark for safe usage.

The Silk’n Sensepil website states that their product works best on lighter skin tones and darker hair color. If the skin is too dark then the HPL might burn the skin or if the hair is too light then the HPL won’t be absorbed by the hair follicle and won’t stunt its growth.
Something new that I learned from the Silk’n Sensepil hair removal site is that hair grows in three stages. At first I thought they suggested doing 3-4 hair removal sessions to make sure you didn’t miss any spots but now I see that it’s so you zap the hair at each growth stage.
I really love that the Silk’n Sensepil hair removal system can be used at home. I can use it whenever it’s convenient and I can do as much or as little hair removal as I want. I can even do an area of hair removal now and another area in the future and I don’t have to pay more for that. It’s so convenient and so much less expensive that laser hair removal.
One last suggestion from the Silk’n Sensepil hair removal website is to avoid sunlight a few weeks before you start doing your hair removal sessions and to continue to avoid sunlight a week or two after you’re done with all of your sessions. I guess the Silk’n Sensepil works best when your skin is at its most natural tone.
I’m excited to get myself a Silk’n Sensepil Hair Removal system and start getting rid of my unwanted hair.
